Sitting at 1,500meters above see level and right n the slopes at the Shiga Kogen ski resort, this is a premier ski hotel. The Oku Shiga Area is known throughout Japan as "the skiers paradise"

The hotel is right at the very northern side of Shiga Kogen and is connected by ski lifts to over 80 ski courses and more than 60 lifts. Although the slopes at Oku Shiga Kogen are for skiers only (no snowboarders), the hotel will happily run you the 3 minutes  to Yakebitaiyama where snowboarders can clip in and enjoy the vast Shiga Kogen.

There are 3 on site restaurants, serving French, Japanese and western Cuisine. There is also a cocktail lounge / bar to relax in and relive the day on the slopes.

Also on site is  a large Japanese style bathhouse, with panoramic views over the slopes. This is an excellent way to revive tired legs after a day on the slopes.

Ski wear is sold on site and rentals are also available. So don't panic if you've forgotten to pack your goggles or gloves.
