Located just above the Odakyu Hakone Yumoto Station, Kappa Tengoku is only 3 min walk from the station. It is on the hill and surrounded by trees. Kappa means 'water sprite' and Tengoku means 'heaven' in Japanese.
You can view the Hakone Yumoto town and streets from its guest rooms or ashiyu onsen (hot spring foot bath).
Its onsen public baths are famous among Japanese tourists for its price and picked up as one of the cheap recommended spots in Hakone. The temperature of the onsen water is somewhat lower than the ones in other places but it is still relaxing and will warm you up if you keep sitting in the bath tub over several minutes.
